Photo Contest 

The Tour du Rutor Organizing Committee is pleased to announce the Photo Contest PhotoAlpArvier 2026, created to highlight and promote the Millet Tour du Rutor Extrême 2026, international ski mountaineering race. The initiative aims to capture the competition in its many facets: from the athletes, to behind-the-scenes moments, to the extraordinary natural setting of the mountains hosting the event.

PARTICIPATION AND REGISTRATION

ARTICLE 1
Participation in the contest is free of charge and open to all photography enthusiasts, regardless of nationality. Volunteers involved in organizing the event and professional photographers are excluded from participation. The contest does not fall under those requiring ministerial authorization pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 430 of November 26, 2001, Article 6.

Registration is mandatory and must be completed by filling out the dedicated form available on the website tourdurutor.com, in the section dedicated to the contest. Those registered by March 23, 2026 will be able to collect a pass at the race office granting access to the briefings. Photographs must be submitted via WeTransfer to the email address info@tourdurutor.com no later than April 12, 2026.

SUBJECT OF THE CONTEST

ARTICLE 2
Photographs must be taken in the area on the day before, March 27, 2026, and during the two days of the race scheduled for March 28 and 29, 2026.

The theme is at the participants’ discretion.

A short descriptive text must accompany the photographic work. Each participant must submit at least 10 shots, up to a maximum of 15.

TYPE OF DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHS

ARTICLE 3
Image files must be in JPEG format; no other formats are allowed. It is recommended not to send excessively large files, and in any case not exceeding 5 MB.

RESPONSIBILITY OF PARTICIPANTS AND USE OF SUBMITTED DIGITAL MATERIAL

ARTICLE 4
Each author, holder of all rights to their originals, is personally responsible for the images submitted. The participant retains ownership of the photographs sent, but grants the organization unlimited usage rights free of charge. The organization may publish and distribute them in magazines, newspapers, websites, and any other media or advertising platform. Each participant is civilly and criminally liable for their works. The images must not contain data that can be classified as sensitive

JURY

ARTICLE 5
The Jury will consist of 3 members, professionals with expertise and competence in the field.

PRIZES

ARTICLE 6
The results of the photo contest will be published online, in a dedicated section of the website tourdurutor.com and on social media channels, by May 31, 2026, with direct communication via email to the participants concerned. The best shots will be used for the permanent exhibition to be held in the streets of the village of Arvier in the summer of 2027. The contest will be considered valid with a minimum of 5 participants. The 3 best photographers will be awarded the following cash prizes:

  • · 1st place: € 500.00
  • · 2nd place: € 300.00
  • · 3rd place: € 100.00

CONDITIONS

  1. Declares to be aware of and to accept the participation rules;
  2. Declares to be responsible for the content of the works submitted;
  3. Declares to be the author of all the works presented and to hold all rights to them;
  4. Authorizes the processing of sensitive data in accordance with current privacy regulations for the completion of the various phases of the contest;
  5. Grants permission for all submitted photos to be freely and gratuitously used for any marketing activity by Tour du Rutor Organizing Committee, without limitations of space or time. The author of the photo will retain all intellectual property rights, and authorship will be acknowledged in every reuse;

Authorizes the organization to retain my personal data in its archive for future editions and/or other communications outside the contest.
